What do you like most about your job?
I think marketing roles offer one of the most diverse types of days. There are really no two same days. What I like most is the ability to learn from others and collaborate on ideas. Sometimes it doesn’t even need to be talking with someone on the marketing team. There have been multiple times where I was talking to someone (not in marketing) and they said something that helped spark my next great idea. Something that could get me out of graphical or writers jam. I love that ability to take something and watch it transform to the finished product.
Do have pets? If so, tell us about them:
Nylo is our spoiled kitty. He is the life of the house and we like to say he is the best kitty in the world. He’s a social, cuddly, rambunctious cat with lots of personality and he will make sure you know! Movie nights and game nights requires one extra chair for his spot and there’s no shortage of toys and treats in this household! He’s sure to make an appearance on camera during meetings so everyone knows who the real boss of the house is.
What is your favorite type of food, and why?
My favorite type of food truly depends on the day, however, I will always love a good chicken parm and alfredo dish. I grew up in an Italian household with homemade dishes and pastas. Recipes have been past down and I love spending some time in the kitchen crafting the perfect Italian dish. The smells, taste and sights of the kitchen remind me of family dinners and home.
Where is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
I am an avid cruiser! I took my first cruise when I was 10 years old and I’ve been hooked since. 13 cruises later, the feeling of stepping onboard the ship on the first day is still magical. From quick weekend trips to multi-week voyages, I love the ability to visit so many different places, while also choosing the adventure I want to have. While the Caribbean has become like a second home at this point, I can’t wait to journey to other parts of the world again and watch from the balcony as the ocean air sails by.
What is your favorite sports team?
Living in Florida, I grew up in an FSU Seminoles household. Following in my brother’s footsteps, I went to FSU for undergrad and also completed my MBA there as well, going to nearly every home football game for 6 years. Even now, through thick and thin, I will support my team as I bleed Garnet and Gold! Go Noles!
What is your favorite type of music, and why?
I grew up with the rock classics like the Beatles, Beach Boys, Queen, and The Eagles. While I still love this classic rock, my everyday listening has move to more alternative and indie rock, with some of my favorite artists being Twenty One Pilots, AJR, Imagine Dragons and Glass Animals.
What is your greatest guilty pleasure?
sacrifice during weekdays, cutting calories, keeping portions under control and limiting snacking, so that I can enjoy margaritas, chips, quac and salsa sometime during the weekend. It just hits right, especially after a long week of hard work!
What’s your favorite quote, and who said it?
It might be silly but it is a quote I live by, “Just Keep Swimming” -Dory, Finding Nemo
But no matter how things are, what life is looking like, where curveballs come from, you just keep swimming. Keep going, learn from mistakes, and take on the next challenges. No matter what. Just. Keep. Swimming.
How would you spend an ideal evening?
While an introvert at heart, an ideal evening is spent with close friends with a game night or movie night. I have an entire corner of the living room dedicated to different board games and card games for any type of evening, from calm and relaxing, to competitive and rambunctious. Spending time with close friends and family always recharges my battery and gets me ready for the next days’ or weeks’ adventure.
