Inc. magazine revealed this week that Interim Physicians once again joined the elite organizations that made the 2024 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
The ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses—and represents the company’s fourth time joining this prestigious group.
“2023 was truly a banner year for Interim Physicians. Over the last four years, we’ve witnessed record growth in our firm’s revenue, company size, and leadership positions and have earned multiple awards for customer service. We’re incredibly proud of that,” said Tim Hand, CEO of Interim Physicians.
“Additionally, we’ve reinforced our status as an industry leader by contributing to the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations board of directors and yet another distinction as being identified as one of 20 largest locum tenens agencies in the country,” he added.
The Inc. 5000 class of 2024 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of insurance, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate is 1,637 percent.
“Just about every locum tenens staffing agency was knocked down by the pandemic. Many did not survive, but we stabilized operations and emerged stronger than ever,” Hand said. “With one of the most effective recruiting and client management teams in the industry, we’re poised to achieve a remarkable revenue goal of over $100 million within the next two years,” he remarked.
In addition to making this year’s Inc. 5000, Interim Physicians celebrated the following achievements in 2024:
- Winning “Best of Staffing” Diamond Awards for excellent service to providers and clients in February
- President and Chief Revenue Officer Shawn Mullen was named to the NALTO Board of Directors in February
- Interim provider Dr. Mayhar Afrooz won the Locum Tenens Provider of the Year Award in March by Locumpedia.
- Placing 19th this August on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of the Largest Locum Tenens Firms.
