For the fifth year in a row, Interim Physicians was ranked as one of the largest locum tenens staffing agencies in the country by Staffing Industry Analysts.
The locum tenens staffing industry generated approximately $5 billion in revenue in 2021, accounting for 10% of the overall $47 billion temporary staffing market. This year, only 27 locum tenens firms — out of more than 200 — made the list.
Interim Physicians was ranked 22nd after its 2021 revenue exploded by 27% over 2020, perhaps the most challenging period in the 43-year history of the temporary physician staffing industry.
