Where were you born and raised?
Originally, my family is from the island of Kauai. I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas while my parents served in the Air Force. We moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when I was seven, and would say that I was raised in Utah. My entire family now lives back in Hawai’i.
What is a day at work like for you?
They say that if you follow your passion, you will never work a day in your life. Work is about the challenges and goals you have in place and the little things you do every day to consistently reach your goals.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy having a positive impact on my teammates, my co-workers, my clients, and the communities we serve. Doing all we can to help make things as good as they can be.
Do have pets? If so, tell us about them.
We have a 4-year-old Brittany. His name is Bodhi, named after Patrick Swayze’s character in Point Break.
Who is your favorite author, and why?
Terry Goodkind, he is the author of my favorite book series, Sword of Truth. There are a lot of relevance to his stories and real life. I really enjoy the escape when reading his stories.
What is your favorite type of food, and why?
I love ALL food. This is always a tough question for me to answer because I do love a variety of food. If I have to pick one, I am eating sushi or specifically a poke bowl.
What is your funniest pet peeve?
People who don’t use the turn indicator, blinker, while driving…like really? C’mon man!
Where is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
Travel is amazing, to see new places, experience new culture, and try new food. I would say the place I want to go back to visit, Costa Rica.
What is your favorite sports team?
Chicago Cubs, baseball is my all-time favorite sport.
What is your favorite type of music, and why?
There really isn’t a genre of music I won’t listen to. But I would have to say 90’s R&B and hip-hop/rap. If it makes you feel something, it’s worth listening to or trying it out.
